Good Evening Wonderful Internet People!

Sorry for being offline for so long, we've been hard at work reworking some of the content in the grimoire and adding all new features. I just wanted to let you all know that, this weekend I'll have an update outlining some of the new subclasses we're adding to the grimoire. More to come this Saturday, thanks again for all your patience.

Taking the Book Back to the Forge...
over 4 years ago – Sat, Dec 21, 2019 at 10:26:58 PM

Good Afternoon Wonderful Internet People,

Glossing past the mixed metaphor and strange imagery of forging a book, last we spoke, it was our plan that we were going to update once we got back from PAX Unplugged, as you all may have noticed, we did not.

Our intention was to post an update detailing Mana Potions, and surprise you with going over how we submitted the Grimoire for Preproduction, along with some screen shots of the final manuscript. However, once we put the finishing touches on the book, and read through it we realized that this iteration of the book just wasn't the content we intended it to be. After a long discussion at PAX Unplugged, we've come to a hard decision. We would like to announce that the estimated shipping date for the Gemhammer Grimoire has been moved to June of next year (3 months later than expected). We understand and appreciate the frustration that this may cause, but I assure you our frustration is even greater. We were very excited to offer these new spellcasting options for the early spring, but we simply were not happy with the product we are sending to the printer, so we didn't send it.

We at Gemhammer would like to ask you for your patience as we take the next few months to ensure that what gets delivered to you is the best possible version of the book we've been working on since the Deck of Wonder: After Dark was finished.

What we can promise you is that this extra time will allow us to improve and revise the spells, new subclasses for every spellcasting class, a revamped and mechanically unique system for Mana Potions, as well as allowing us to better incorporate the stretch goals into the fabric of the Grimoire. Additionally we intend to include material that was left on the cutting room floor, that never even made it onto the list of Stretch goals.

Our next update, which will go out after the holidays, will go over some of the new spellcasting options we intend to add, specifically focused on some of the new classes, our new Bard, Ranger, Paladin, and Cleric.

We thank you for your understanding and hope that when you get the final, complete product next summer, you'll agree with us that the extra time was well worth it in the pursuit of More Better Game Stuff.
